The work Metamorphosis: Herbarium explores the experimental use of 3D scan as a medium. During the examination of the tool, it´s capacities and functions, I discovered various ways of “metamorphosis“. This video installation contains a digital herbarium. As the model transforms herself by putting on a colored piece of clothing, the 3D scanner, capturing the slow movement, transforms the person into a flower. Chimerical woman-flowers emerge, blurring the lines between human, technology and nature.
